Typing Test 2

This assessment is timed and designed to measure speed and accuracy in typing. This assessment allows the 5 minutes to type passages into a simulated word processing document. Test takers will need a printed text original for this type of evaluation. The reading level of this assessment ranges from the 10th to 12th grades. This typing test uses the following formula to determine the Net Words Per Minute score: Net Words Per Minute = Gross Words Per Minute - Total Errors. Localized for use in the UK.

The Contact Center Technical Support Agent solution is an assessment used for job candidates applying to entry-level positions in a contact center environment where the main focus of the job is providing customer service in the form of technical support. Sample tasks for these jobs include, but are not limited to: interacting with customers on the phone to provide information; troubleshooting and diagnosing problems; solving product or service issues; responding positively to difficult or irate customers; navigating within multiple applications to find and view customer account details; and typing information quickly and accurately. Manager (Short Form)

The Manager solution is an assessment used for job candidates applying to entry-level leadership positions who tend to supervise salaried employees. Sample tasks for these jobs include, but are not limited to: planning projects with subordinates; collaborating with senior managers on developing new methods and procedures; coaching employees on performance-related issues; developing employees' skills; coordinating activities with other managers to accomplish organizational goals; setting and meeting department goals; prioritizing multiple tasks and priorities; making selected strategic and day-to-day decisions; and solving employees' and customers' problems. Potential job titles that use this solution are: Manager, Store Manager, and Branch Manager. There are multiple configurations of this solution available.

Assessment: Business Letter Compose

Business Letter Compose

This test is designed to measure typing ability, including spacing and formatting. Additionally, this test measures text errors, including spelling mistakes. This is a timed test and it begins when the candidate selects OK on the computer screen. Candidates are provided a printed text original that contains the unformatted text they will need to complete the test: address information, greeting, body text, and closing information. Candidates are asked to type the correctly formatted version of the text into a word processing program. Note that the same text is used in both the Business Letter Compose and Business Letter Edit tests. Therefore, we advise clients not to use both tests in a given test session as experience with one of the tests may influence scores on the other. This test is available in US English, UK English and Australian English.

The Contact Center - Agent solution is an assessment used for job candidates applying to entry-level positions in a contact center environment where the main focus of the job is customer service. Assessment: Business Letter Edit

Business Letter Edit

This test is designed to measure a candidate’s ability to accurately make corrections from a business letter containing punctuation, spelling, and formatting errors. In this assessment, the text of the letter appears in the word processing program. Candidates are instructed to correctly format and edit the letter provided in the program, rather than having to type in the letter from a text original. Note that the same text is used in both the Business Letter Compose and Business Letter Edit tests. Therefore, we advise clients not to use both tests in a given test session as experience with one of the tests may influence scores on the other. This test is available in US English, UK English and Australian English.

Audio Transcription

This test is designed to measure transcription, speed and accuracy. It instructs test takers to listen to a recording played over a computer audio system and to type the exact words and phrases used by the speaker into a word processing interface using a keyboard. This test has a simulated audio player that allows candidates to rewind, stop, pause, play, and fast-forward the recording during the test. This test is available in US English, UK English and Australian English.

Supervisors (Short Form)

The Supervisor solution is an assessment used for job candidates applying to entry-level leadership positions who tend to supervise hourly employees. Sample tasks for these jobs include, but are not limited to:  planning and preparing work schedules, assigning employees to specific duties; coaching  employees on attendance, conduct, schedule adherence, and work tasks, developing employees' skills ; training subordinates; prioritizing multiple tasks  and priorities; and making  day-to-day decisions with minimal guidance from others.
